Installation
Mount controller and junction-box front panels vertically, keep covers accessible for inspection and ensure the display and field indicators are clearly visible. Route intrinsically safe wiring separately from power and control wiring in dedicated conduits; do not pass field wiring through the enclosure in a way that compromises segregation. Do not open the enclosure while energized and do not repair flameproof joints in the field.
Commission the earth-conductor check, >1000 pF tanker-recognition reference, ≤10 Ω loop, OLED TESTING/NO TRUCK/CONNECTED states and all configured interlocks. The unit is factory calibrated and does not require routine customer calibration.

Intrinsically Safe (IS) Circuits
Earthing Pro TK uses galvanic isolation between the controller supply/control circuits and the intrinsically safe tanker-recognition and grounding-monitoring circuit. The isolated, energy-limited signal passes through the intrinsically safe junction box to the hazardous-area clamp, while vehicle capacitance and loop information return across the protected interface for processing.
Output Contacts
One NO/NC dry-contact relay output is standard; up to three outputs can be configured to act on the combined tanker-recognition and grounding-permissive state. Relay contacts are rated 5 A at 30 VDC or 10 A at 250 VAC.
Safety Standards and Guidance
EN IEC 60079 series: the certified system separates the flameproof controller from the intrinsically safe field-recognition and grounding circuit.
IEC TS 60079-32-1: tanker bodies and other conductive objects should have a controlled path to earth before charge-generating transfer begins.
NFPA 77: a resistance up to roughly 1 MΩ may dissipate static charge in some applications, while an all-metal monitored path should be much lower if its mechanical connections are intact.
API RP 2003: tanker loading practice requires the grounding connection to be established before flow and maintained until transfer is complete.
Product-specific criteria: >1000 pF is the tanker-recognition reference, not a grounding standard limit. After recognition, TK uses ≤10 Ω for the metal grounding loop so poor contact or conductor damage is detected long before the path approaches the higher static-dissipation level.
